Iran’s Countermoves on Iran Nuclear Deal Are a Predictable But Worrisome Response to U.S. Sanctions

The article talks about the how Iran is threatening to violate the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in retaliation to Trump withdraw from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was an agreement with Iran to scale back on their nuclear programs in exchange from some relief and sanctions. Iran no longer has incentive to comply with the JCPOA after Trumps withdrawal from the Iran Nuclear Deal. Experts fear that Iran will retaliate out of anger and work to once again expand their nuclear programs.
