In regards to the invasion of Romania by Russian forces, the United States advises that NATO remain in the region. The Russian ambassador has been contacted to discuss the removal of their troops and current situation.
Currently our biggest worry is the Russian’s interpreting the movement of NATO forces as a threat. Our stance is to not remove forces from the area, and continue open communications with Russia and promoting a mutual de-escalation of military forces in the area.
If Russia agrees to remove their forces, we too my retract ours, if not we will discuss an escalation if so needed.
